Maybe you're wondering why I'm on campus already when class begin tomorrow.... No? Oh, well I'm going to tell you anyway. Last year, I was a first-year Bonner who was required to attend Pre-Orientation to adapt to the new Bonner community. This year, I became one of the leaders for the new Bonner first-years! I had such a great time getting to know twelve new people and do different activities together. Last night, a senior hosted all of the new first-years and Jennifer and I at his apartment and all of us made personal pizzas together :) So even after a week of being back on campus, I am still not done unpacking (I think I have too much stuff, need to research on minimalism :D ). I tried cleaning up my side of the dorm the best that I can and here are some of the pictures that I took. (Jennifer- You're welcome. I didn't show your side) In other news, a fun fact about me is that I have never set foot in the gym inside Mac's Leonard Center. Until today. Jennifer and I along with some first year Bonners decided to go work out together. Since I woke up with a pretty bad sore throat, some light-headedness, and a potential cold, I decided to just do about 30 minutes of exercising: 15min on the bike, 15min on the elliptical. As you can tell in the picture below, Jennifer was overjoyed about her workout. Personally, I'm not looking to get super slim or anything, but I just want to start exercising again (I did pilates for a while in the past) to feel healthy and to give me a reason to eat more food. The latter reason is probably closer to the truth. I know this post was a bit short, but I've been so busy with Bonner and meetings and unpacking that I almost(!) forgot that I had a blog. I might talk about my new classes and school involvement sometime in future posts. I'm definitely way more involved in the Macalester community this year (with leadership roles) than last year.
I'm excited and anxious for my sophomore year to begin!

Did I mention that I fly back to Minnesota this Sunday? As in IN TWO DAYS? No? Oops. Sorry. Ever since Reach has ended, I have been trying to do things that are "typical" to do during summer breaks: Netflix marathons (I watched Friends up to Season 7, but still didn't finish yet), Dramafever marathons (who wouldn't want to want Korean celeb dads try to babysit multiple toddlers at the same time), YouTube marathons (I'm justifying that watching Hong Kong beauty gurus improves my Cantonese listening skills), and reading (like an actual book). Here are some interesting things that happened: - Ate dinner with my high school advisor (shout out to Ms. Little :D ) at one of my favorite restaurants. - Lost my voice after trying to "belt" out Ailee's "I'll Show You" at a Korean noraebang. - Dyed the bottom of my hair a mixture of dark purple and dark red (yes, you read that correctly) - Tidied about 90% of my room using the KonMari method (Marie Kondo is the best) Here are some boring things that happened (or didn't happen): - My documentary to-watch list on Netflix? Nope. Didn't happen. - A Kdrama marathon? Nope. Didn't happen (Fun fact: I keep up with Kdramas by reading recaps of each episode on Dramabeans; I actually only watch Korean variety shows weekly) - Improving my Spanish skills during the summer? yeah.....about that. Ya no hablo español. Jajajajaja! Aside from the list above, I'm trying to finishing packing for another year of college. Since I am not planning on coming back to Atlanta until Spring Break in March (I'm in Hong Kong for Winter Break), I'm trying to cram as much as I could into 2 checked bags. I'm still in denial that the 3 months of summer passed so quickly! Here's to a great fall semester! Anyway here are some more amazing photos that came out from the photoshoot that my group of friends did together a few weeks ago:
